ERUPTION CYST OVERLYING THE CROWN OF UPPER RIGHT FIRST PREMOLAR: A CASE REPORT

Introduction: An eruption cyst is one of the odontogenic involving soft tissue, associated with primary or permanent tooth that lies behind cyst. It often occurs in children; first molars and maxillary incisors are most prevalent teeth. Case: This article report an case a 9-year-old female patient. The patient came swelling on gingiva overlying crown 14, , clinically, has not erupted yet. Intraoral examination revealed presence smooth swelling, 1 cm x 0.8 cm, bluish-black color. Case Management: Surgical incision under local anesthesia was performed to remove exposed tooth. Discussion: Eruption tissue exact aetiology remains unclear. appears as dome-shaped soft, transparent, bluish blue-black It’s hard distinguish radiograph examination, because it’s cyst, no bone involvement. Histologically, it presents connective covered layer non-keratinized squamous epithelium. A small asymptomatic does require any treatment could rupture spontaneously. If causes problem, must be removed by drainage fluid contents. In this case, treated simple incision, erupt normally. Conclusion: latest knowledge developments diagnosis cysts important for clinicians understand order decide right plan.
